Care
Congregational Care
The Care Team
The St. Mark care team is dedicated to supporting individuals and families through times of need. They focus on offering prayer, encouragement, and practical assistance. Whether it's visiting the sick, helping with meals, or providing emotional support, the care team ensures no one faces challenges alone. It’s a loving and compassionate group that reflects the church's mission to care for its members and community.
Prayer Requests
Prayer Chain Team
Being part of a prayer chain means joining a group of people committed to lifting up others in prayer. As part of this team, you’ll pray for specific needs, offer spiritual support, and intercede on behalf of individuals facing challenges. It’s a powerful way to offer encouragement and remind those in need that they are not alone in their struggles.
Men’s Mentoring
The Men's Mentoring Ministry at our church offers a supportive community for men to grow in their faith through fellowship, Bible study, and service opportunities. It provides a space for men to build strong relationships with one another, encourage personal growth, and serve both the church and the surrounding community. Together, they seek to live out Christ's teachings and be leaders in their homes, workplaces, and beyond.
Funeral Hospitality
By working behind-the-scenes, our funeral hospitality team is able to offer compassionate support to grieving families by helping with the details of funerals and receptions. Team members assist with setting up, serving food, and clean up so families experiencing loss have one less thing during a difficult time.
Stephen Ministry is a team of trained volunteers at St. Mark, equipped to offer one-on-one, Christ-centered care to those facing challenges. Our goal is to provide support, presence, and encouragement during difficult times, following Jesus' example.
Stephen Ministry can provide the emotional and spiritual care you may need when faced with a crisis or difficulty. This is not counseling, but it is a way for us to minister to anyone in our congregation 18 and older during situations such as:
A challenging life season where you need a sounding board.
Loneliness & Discouragement
A Chronic or Terminal Illness
Hospitalization
Divorce or Separation
Spiritual Crisis
Aging
Birth, Adoption, Infertility, or Miscarriage
Relocation
Recovery after an accident or disaster.
Loss of a loved one.
Grief in all forms.
Unemployment or Job Crisis
And so much more.
Our team is a part of a larger organization that has supported us through training and materials to prepare our volunteers for this ministry. Check out stephenministries.org for more information.
